Posted by Todd Kirkland on September 11, 2008

A popup dialog appears for a digital camera, when an iPhone or iPod Touch is connected to Windows XP, when there are photos stored on one of the devices. In order to disable this notification, follow the steps below.

1. Click on the Start menu and choose the Control Panel.
2. Open Printers and Other Hardware (skip this step if the panel is in classic view)
3. Open Scanners and Cameras.

4. In the Scanners and Cameras window, right-click on the Apple iPhone or iPod touch and choose Properties.

5. Click the Events tab.
6. Select “Take no action” in the Actions area.

7. Click Apply and OK.

  1. Dondon says:

    iPod Touch? Are you kidding?!

  2. Todd Kirkland says:

If you have photos stored on your ipod touch, this notification can occur.
