How to Disable Camera Popup Notifications for iPhone and iPod Touch (Windows Vista)

Posted by Todd Kirkland on September 13, 2008

A popup dialog appears for a digital camera, when an iPhone or iPod Touch is connected to Windows Vista, when there are photos stored on one of the devices.  In order to disable this notification, follow the steps below.

 1.   Click on ”Set Autoplay Defaults in Control Panel”.

2.   Under Devices, change “Choose a default” to “Take no action” for your iPhone or iPod Touch.

3.   Click Apply and OK.

If you ever want to go back and change the action from “take no action”, you can access Autoplay in the Control Panel under Hardware and Sound.
